Mixed Media–Collage

“The world is but a canvas to the imagination.”  — Henry David Thoreau

“No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main; if a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less…any man’s death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind…” –John Donne

There’s something magical about squeezing cadmium red paint out of a tube and seeing a cardinal emerge from your brushstrokes, something so surreal in taking an experience to the canvas and developing a story line through found objects, paint and glue.  I create because I have to.  It’s a part of me.   My art is my story.
