Art with a Cause

So…I, like everyone else, love fall.  It’s always been my favorite season.  I hate the cold, and I hate the heat, and how can you beat all of those beautiful colors and smells in the air.  I don’t care if I’m joining the millions in saying it.  I love fall!  I just wanna know…how did a season become a fad?

The other day I got out for a walk, and the air was just fantastic.  What a beautiful week to enjoy cool breezes, autumn candles, good music, hot coa-coa with cinnamon…agh love it!  I took this week to work on a piece for Fellowship of Grace in Kansas City.  They’re having a silent auction as well as a live auction, with hors d’oeuvres and musical entertainment, to raise money to build home and caring for orphans in Haiti.  It’s on October 27th @ 6:00pm at the Majestic Theatre, Zona Rosa.  Tickets are just $15.

I think it’s great what they’re doing and I’m so excited to be a part of it.  Here’s what I came up with:

That looks so good! I do love fall as well. I don’t think I realized how much of a fad it was. I only started liking fall 6 years ago when I moved to Springfield for the first time and actually experienced fall. Now my life practically revolves around it, haha. Also, I’m going to have to try some hot cocoa with cinnamon in it. Yum.

Thanks for the compliment on my blog. zombie cookies were so much fun even though I made them by myself. I can’t wait to see your post about your fall cookies. I was loving the shading on your icing. I want to see more!
