The Big Move

A week ago today, along with some good friends, we loaded up our lives in this little Penske truck.  We spent the rest of the weekend hangin out with some friends and saying our goodbyes, before leaving town Monday morning.  When we left, it was a good almost 5 hours to reflect and just enjoy the wide open spaces of good ole Kansas.  Here is a list of a few of the tunes that filled the air of the Malibu as I drove:

E To W — The Appleseed Cast — Lost Songs
Road to Nowhere — Talking Heads — The Best of Talking Heads
Use Somebody — Kings of Leon — Only By the Night
Fire It Up — Modest Mouse — We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank
Life’s a Song — Patrick Park — Stickbirdsongs – EP
Into Dust — Mazzy Star — So Tonight That I Might See
To Sheila — Smashing Pumpkins — Adore
My Everything — Jasen Ashdown & Trademark
Bluebird of Happiness — Mojave 3 — Spoon and Rafter
Jesus — Page France — Hello, Dear Wind
Ribcage — Elbow — Cast of Thousands
Stay Golden — Au Revoir Simone Verses of Comfort, Assurance and Salvation
 Leap Year — Maria Taylor — 11:11
Fraud In The ’80s — Mates Of State — Bring It Back
We Have A Map Of The Piano — Múm — Finally We Are No One
Nothing To Worry About — Peter Bjorn and John — Living Thing

We’ve been unpacking all week and getting settled, trying to make Hutchinson, KS feel like home.  I’ve got so many feelings and thoughts flooding my mind right now, but I’m excited.  I’ve been catching up on some reading this morning, and feeling very anxious about all of the things we want to get started on.  Now that we’re settled, we’re ready to really jump into everything.  This is where the rubber meets the road.  We’re no longer just talking about it all, we’re doin it!   We covet your prayers as we get crackin and start making some connections.  HERE WE GO!
